Criteria for Resources.
Aim: To share resources developed for the use of spiritual/moral education
Categories.
All resources are categorised within the following categories.
Activities
Activities would include craft activities from colouring to cutting and gluing. Worksheets will also be included in the category.
Service Projects
Service project resources would include ideas and activities for children to promote and perform service within a community. Giving them an opportunity to display their understanding of the virtues and concepts taught within the classes.
Teacher Resources
Teacher’s resources would include ideas on classroom management, behaviour management and teaching tools. This would also include virtues awards and certificates etc.
Games
Cooperative games used to show the concept and or virtue in action
- Quiet Games - Quiet games would include sitting down games and puzzles
- Noisy Games - Noisy games would include running around, loud games that require a lot of movement
Stories
Stories from all aspects of life that reflect a virtue or can be tied into one of the sites concepts.
Songs
Songs that teach virtues and the sites concepts.
- Audio Songs - Audio files of the songs
- Song Sheets- Words and music to the songs.
Drama
Plays and skits to teach the virtues and sites concepts.
Virtue
The resource needs to be able to display a virtue, by
- Example of virtue in action
- Example of virtue in a role model
- Defining the Virtue
- Showing the Virtue through action
- Activity to allow the child to demonstrate their understanding of the virtue
Principle
The key Principles used for this site include the following
- The equality of Man and Woman
- The Oneness of Mankind
- Universal Peace
- Independent Investigation of the truth
- Common Foundation of all Religions
- Harmony of Science and Religion
- Elimination of Prejudice
- Universal Compulsory Education
- Spiritual Economic Solution
- Universal Auxiliary Language
- Spiritual Environmental Solution
The resource needs to be able to display one of the listed Principles, by
- Examples of what the specific principle looks like.
- Activities to explain the principle.
- Activities to demonstrate the child understands the principle.
Ownership
It is presumed that the submitter of the resources is the legal owner of the resources or has permission from the legal owner to upload the material. The name and email address of the submitter will be available on the document if the document doesn’t have copyright details.
Use of resources.
The resources are submitted with the understanding that they can be freely used, downloaded, changed and shared, unless the copyright of the particular resource restricts any of these uses.
