About Us

“Building Sandcastles in the Sky” is a web based repository of resources promoting good moral virtues and character building within children internationally.

The site is primarily proposed as a community based project enabling the sharing of resources developed at the grass roots level across the globe. The developing of Spiritual Virtues within the younger generation is becoming an increasingly important focus within the general community worldwide. Whether it is known as ethics, moral education or character building, there is tide of change in attitude of the international community with many parents and educators at a loss as to where to turn.

Educators and parents have developed many resources over time dealing with these very issues. Many ethnic children’s stories have lessons in regards to life skills and many children’s games are developed as an opportunity to build children’s spiritual and social skills. “Building Sandcastles in the Sky” will be a central point where these stories, games and activities can be shared and sourced openly and freely encouraging the development of spiritual virtues in children.

The Ruhi Institute has developed a series of courses instrumental in capacity building of human resources, to assist in the transformation of Humanity. Book 3 and Book 3a look specifically at the capacity building of parents and community members in preparation for conducting children's classes in moral and spiritual education. The Themes of these books, along with the Baha'i Principles and the Virtues are used as key indexing and tagging within this site.
